A rare, beautiful, sunny yellow early American bear by Bruin Manufacturing Company (BMC), C 1906-1909. The color is rare, and the mohair is long and luxurious, retaining 85-90%. . It has brown-amber glass eyes and an inset fabric nose. If you look at Ken Yenke's Teddy Bear Treasury, the first volume, pages 36 and 37, you will see 2 BMC bears of this vintage, one in a rare cinnamon color. Note the unique crook to the arm, (hockey stick shape), and the pointy nose, cupped ears set well up on the head, and glass eyes. This bear is 17" tall, a substantial size, big enough to give great hugs. The paw pads have been skillfully replaced with matching felt; foot pads are original. This would be a very colorful and rare addition to your collection.
