15"Simon & Halbig 949 Belton w/Closed Mouth

An early, rare, Bahr and Proschild Belton head, marked 949, with a closed mouth on an early fully jointed Sonneberg body. The bisque is excellent, without any hairlines or chips.
The body is well strung and sturdy, with just a small repair at the left hip. There is no repaint and most of the original shiny finish remains, with just a scrape or two.
The face is lovely, with bright blue eyes that sparkle, a pretty closed mouth, the lips delicately outlined, gently blushed cheeks, and crisp molding.
She has a blonde wig in long curls..
Her dress is couturier made in a soft sage green with silk and lace, a striped skirt and a bow-bustle in the back. The front of the dress is adorned by a sparkling vintage rhinestone pin with green and white stones. She has cream color boots and white stockings. Under the dress is a vintage all-in-one with pantaloons.
A beautiful early cabinet size (15") Belton head Simon & Halbig, in a hard to find 949 mold, with a closed mouth, and an absolutely gorgeous face, exquisitely dressed. She is ready to display in your cabinet!
