A beautiful 11 And 3/4 inch tall Kestner on its original jointed body with a red German stamp. The doll has lovely light blue eyes that sleep well and have good eyelid wax. Her plaster pate has been loosened so the head can be stuffed for shipping.
Her little face has pretty coloring with rosey cheeks, sweet outlined coral lips and a tiny row of square cut teeth. Her body is excellent and well strung. ( just a few little rubs in the finish, but mostly the original shiny finish.) Her hands are nice.
The bisque is lovely, without hairline or chips. There is a little area of raised bisque on the forehead, from the making. (see pictures 11 & 12) She is a beautiful tiny, fully jointed, early Kestner. (11 and 3/4 inches tall) The 152 is a harder to find mold #, and in this tiny size, quite rare.
She is wearing a vintage, (possibly of the original era), light blue polished cotton gown. It is in good condition, with just a few small age spots. I have not tried to clean it. To me, they are not distracting. I prefer the original look. Her wig is a dark blonde mohair replacement that is lovely on her. The shoes are vintage white leather with little heels and buckles on the toes, and she has long white cotton stockings and vintage lace pantalettes.
There are tiny blue silk flowers and a white satin ribbon adorning her head.
Condition: Excellent. Beautiful coloring, crisp molding and original delicate painting, a lovely face with pretty bisque free of hairline or chips. (A little raised area in the bisque on the forehead, under her hair, that is from the mold in the making)
