The "HAR" mark was owned by Hargo Creations in New York. The company was founded in 1955 and mysteriously disappeared in the mid to late 1960's. During their short tenure in business, they created the most amazing, unique, and high quality jewelry of the era. Joseph Heibronner & Edith Levitt founded Hargo in 1955. The "HAR" mark was probably used beginning in 1955 to 1967, or so. Some pieces of HAR jewelry are among the most sought after by collectors and often bring fantastic prices. Included in this are the Dragon, Cobra, Genie and China man pieces, with full parures bringing the highest prices. In 1959 The Cobra set, The Dragon Set and Genie set were created. In 1960, the Chinese figural pieces were created. From my personal collection
