This great vintage necklace is signed Dauplaise and patent number 3984900 which is the patent for the clasp issued on October 12, 1976. Carol Dauplaise was a former employee of Miriam Haskell. Her designs are coveted by collectors and is relatively hard to find. This necklace may be sterling but I have not had it tested. It looks and feels like it and looks super paired with a turquoise necklace or alone. The patina is great and each bead is 1/2" in diameter. No dents in the beads - just a wonderful necklace that is 16" long. This necklace weighs 71.6 grams.
