Wonderful 27" necklace with an additional 5" drop featuring a large carved jade sphere along with 2 dangling strands. The carving depicts a Chinese lucky boy with double happiness characters on the front and back and a lovely floral carving on the sides of the orb. I am not positive that the smaller beads in the necklace are jade - they are .a beautiful pale green and somewhat translucent with small gold beads between. Carnelian and dark jade contrasting beads adds a striking touch to the design. At the estate, I was told that the gold was real, but upon close inspection, I think the clasp is just gold tone or gold plated. The mannequin in the photos is life size, so you can see this is a beautiful and substantial necklace. Excellent condition.
