These beautiful gold filled Walter Lampl earrings are just perfect. They are so feminine and lovely. A floral bouquet of pink navette crystals, topped off with a spray of faux pearls, the stems and leaves sparkling and beautifully designed. The design is layered with 2 rows of the pink navettes tucked into the stems. So, so pretty. I believe that these have never been worn. They are so clean. They are gold filled; however the back of the stems seems like maybe it was rhodium plated, as that is a different color than the backs of the floral part. And it does appear that some of the finish on that part (the back of the leaves) is worn. The gold fill parts are pristine, as it the front. These are Walter Lampl in all his glory. They measure 1" by 1". Of course the original box is included. The earrings are marked 1/20-12K Gold Filled. They are not marked WL, but it is clear these are original to this box.
Walter Lampl was born in 1895 in New York City. In 1921, he opened his wholesale jewelry company and named it Walter Lampl. He became a very prominent jeweler. His early pieces are coveted by collectors due to their rarity. His beautifully designed Art Deco fine jewelry pieces demand high auction prices. After a wonderful and very successful career, Lampl died suddenly at age 50, in 1945. The family continued the business until 1959, when it closed its doors.
