This beautiful brooch is an Antique. From the late 19th Century. The border (setting) is gold filled or a low karat gold. The center is set with a most beautiful micro mosaic design of a garden and tree with a bridge and hill side. All made with tiny pieces of stone. The setting looks like someone tried to remove the stone and decided to leave it alone. So, from the back it looks damaged, but from the front it is in great condition. I would think a jeweler could polish down the edges. The brooch measures 1-3/4" x 1-1/2" and is beautiful!
