This hobby horse planter was produced by Shawnee Pottery Company circa 1950s- 1960s. The hobby horse coloring is an off white, the saddle and wheels are maroon, and the mane and tail are black. It is approximately3.25 inches at the tallest point, 2.75 inches at the widest point, and 4.12 inches long. It is in good used condition with no nicks, chips or cracks. There are a couple manufacturing defects, is a small round glaze kiss on the top that is discolored point as shown in the pictures, along with the bottom of the wheels is unglazed and something dented the clay before it was Kiln fired, none which affects the use of this piece. Opening is approximately 1.37 inches wide, 2.00 inches long. The inside and out is clean and the bottom is marked Shawnee U.S.A. 660. This would be an adorable addition to a babies room holding cotton balls, swabs or anything else.
