This is a black amethyst trophy cup vase, from line #473 created by L.E. Smith Glass Company as it is marked on the bottom. It is also known as the dancing ladies because of the pattern on the front of the vase. This item dates from circa 1930 and is in good shape with only one small chip on the footed area of the trophy vase. It is very heavy and is approximately 7.25 inches Tall and the base is 2.75 inches square and the opening is approximately 4.00 inches in diameter. There is a very pretty heart shape scroll on the outside with two ladies dancing and appear to be doing the ribbon dance. And if you look at our pictures you will see why it is called black amethyst glass. All you need to do is hold it up in a strong light and you can see the purple shining through.
