This beautiful C. Ahrenfeldt Limoges porcelain Demitasse cup and saucer was produced between 1894 - 1930. Both the cup and saucer have a band of light yellow with pink flowers along with a bluish purple flower and leaves and gold gilt around the edges. On the cup there is a blue and gold center band below the yellow border. Both pieces are marked C. Ahrenfeldt Limoges Patented along with the CA France Depose mark. The cup has 12 panels at the bottom and flares to a smooth top and the plate is also do-decagon shape. The pieces are in very good condition, there is a speck of paint as shown in the picture on the inside of the cup, but there are no nicks, chips, cracks or crazing. The cup is approximately 2 1/4 inches tall, 2 5/6 in diameter and the base is approximately 1 1/4 inches in diameter, the saucer is approximately 4 3/4 inches in diameter at the widest point and also is in very good condition. Both the cup and saucer have minor wear to the gold gilt if you look closely. It is an elegant cup and saucer from time gone by.
