Westmoreland Glass produced this beautiful EAPG tall compote in the pattern known as No 575, better known as Fern Wheel a.k.a Paddle Wheel circa 1907. This comport is approximately 8.00 inches tall, base is 3.75 inches in diameter and the top is 5.50 inches in diameter. The glass is crisp and clean with no sickness. On one side of the top you can feel a rough spot that feels like scrap, but with the reflection of the glass you have a hard time seeing anything. On the stem of the compote there is a very small nick, and the mold lines are rough and were never polished over. We tried to capture this in photos, but just couldn't, but we also included a photo of the stem also. Also common to this time are inclusion bubbles. which this piece has. It is a wonderful piece of very old glass in good condition, and in a form not easily found.
