Fine 19th century watercolor sketch of a figure in Sir David Wilkie’s painting “The Blind Fiddler”, by “Circle of Sir David Wilkie”. I have included a close up of the actual painting at the Tate (last photo).

Dimensions of this little watercolor are 5 1/2 x 3 3/4 inches. The gold mat dimensions are 5 x 7 inches. Condition is very good antique condition.

Sir David Wilkie (1785-1841) was a
highly successful British painter.
He became a member of the Royal Academy in 1811, was appointed Painter to the King in 1830 and was knighted in 1836.
