Royal Crown Derby Porcelain Monkey and Baby Paperweight with box dated 1991
The monkey and baby paperweight was introduced in late 1991 and retired in 1994. It was launched to coincide with the Chinese year of the monkey.
The gold stopper indicates a first quality piece.
Royal Crown Derby first introduced their paperweights in September 1981. Since then many different varieties of these bone China figures have been made and they are quite collectible.
Purchased in May 1992 from now defunct department store Strawbridge & Clothier (copy of the receipt from this sale provided with shipping of item or upon inquiry).
Approximately 4” H x 3 1/2” L x 3” D
Condition: very fine, with no chips, cracks or damage and very little little wear (some tiny scuffing on bottom). The box does show wear.
