UNIQUE Antique Hetian Jade Scholar Ring (18th-19th c, Qing Dynasty), ancient China. Most of such scholar ring in ancient China are plain with no words or pattern inscribed, but this one is unique.
There is ONLY ONE such ring because it is customized by the wearer a few hundred years ago. It has his personal motto written on it "qin, shen, jian, le" which means "diligence, caution, thriftiness, happiness" in elegant traditional Chinese writing style - a heritage from the original owner and reflects the Confucianist philosophy.
On the other side of the ring, a mythical animal of QiLin is drawn- it is said to be a decedent of dragon and brings good luck to people. It is walking on sea waves.
Workmanship is traditional. Material: Hetian jade is the most precious kind of jade in traditional Chinese culture. Condition: two minor inner lines in the jade, as shown in the pictures. Otherwise very good condition. Size (inner diameter, outer diameter, height): 2.13 cm, 3.02 cm, 2.42 cm
