What a fun souvenir for a collector! The bowl of this demitasse size spoon has a depiction of Rain-In-The-Face, a Sioux Chief who was at the battle of Little Big Horn. He is in full headdress and holding a shield and a spear. Also on the bowl are the words HELENA MONT. The ornate handle has MONTANA on it in raised letters and is topped by the sun rising over mountains. Below this is a banner with the letters OROYPLATA, which is actually Oro y Plata, Spanish for gold and silver, and is the Montana state motto. The back is clearly marked sterling followed by a large S. Approximately 3 ¾" long. This spoon is in very good condition, and full of American history!
