The USS Winslow was launched September 21, 1936 and was a Porter-class destroyer in the United States Navy. Through the war the Winslow operated in both the Pacific and the Atlantic. Measurements are approximately 9 ¼” by 2 ¾” and sits about 1/3” high. The center of the board is etched with a 4” rectangle etched in a lovely script with “USS WINSLOW. To the right of the inscription is an etching of an anchor and chain, and to the left and etching of a navy signalman (semaphore) transmitting codes by flag while dressed in uniform complete with hat and bell bottom trousers. This was a destroyer with significant historical significance. No pegs came with the board but I will supply 6 pegs that fit perfectly. Excellent condition.
