There is a detailed transferware of “The Quarry Walk Shrewsbury” on the side of this very nice needle case. There are 30 needles of varying lengths inside the case. The top section of the case has a charming transferware of a hanging flower basket. Measurements are approximately 8 ¾” tall by 1” across. The transfer is in very good condition. The case itself shows signs of wear at the base but is still in very nice used condition. These wonderful souvenir pieces were highly prized by tourists in the Victorian Era. They were made of sycamore wood in and around the town of Mauchline in Scotland.
