Minsmere is a famous Sea Marsh bird sanctuary and nature preserve on the outskirts of Dunwich, South of Southwold, England. It is surrounded by heathland which reaches to the sea and is a favorite vacation destination. This interesting old cribbage board is made from a solid piece of wood and has a raised white crest in the center. Tiny metal beads spell out FOUND ON MINSMERE BEACH DEC-28-15. The tracks are raised up and each grouping of 5 is painted white. There is a blue square with a peg hole at each end of the center section. The bottom section of the long sides are painted dark green. Measurements are approximately 9” by 3” by ½”. There are a few minor scrapes from age, but overall no real damage. I would rate it as being in excellent condition for its age. There are no pegs.
