Beginning in 1908 Royal Copenhagen has produced a blue and white Christmas plate every year. These have become prized collectables. This one is from 1917, designed by Oluf Jensen, and represents The Church of Our Savior in Copenhagen. It is inscribed with the word “JUL” which means Christmas in Danish. There are no chips, cracks or repairs, but some minor pin pricks in the glaze from when it was fired. It is 7 inches across and has the trademark Royal Copenhagen on the back, with the crown and 3 wavy lines. The pale number on the back is 146.
