Tartan Ware and Mauchline Ware combine in this cribbage board that was originally a souvenir from the Isle of Wight. Beneath the center picture are the words "Blackgang Chine Isle of Wight". Since this was done before the cribbage board was fashioned there are peg holes going right through some of the letters. Blackgang Chine is an area with cliff top gardens that is now an amusement park. There are Tartan Ware strips between the sections of pegs. There is one small square missing at one end of the board. There is a metal piece at each end that swivels to reveal the peg holders, two at each end. There is only one ivory colored peg, which I doubt is original but will be included. Measurements are approximately 8" by 2 ¼". The board has the usual nicks and scratches acquired with use, but except for the missing bit of tartan it is in pretty good condition.
