Antique Victorian 14K Gold & Onyx Mourning Chain
This is an absolutely gorgeous Victorian mourning piece, circa 1860. It is constructed from carved black onyx, with 14k gold beads separating the each carved piece (the structural chain they are strung from is not gold). The sleek feel of this piece is wonderful. It measures 16" long and has a marked and tested 14k gold clasp. Overall the necklace is in excellent condition and a fabulous example of a Victorian mourning piece. It weighs approximately 48 grams.
