C. 1930s Art Deco Hickok Greyhounds Fob Pendent with Nail File & Knife

This is a vintage pocket knife and nail file fob made by Hickok, circa 1930s. This fob is double sided with identical designs on each. There are 3 greyhound dogs facing left with a blank band of metal beneath them for a name, date or monogram. It is currently blank. The 1930s loved speed - automobiles, greyhound racing, horses, and this fob is a tribute to this time period.

It is not marked for metal content and the sterling pieces were marked, so it is not gold or gold plate but another metal. It measures 1 1/2 inches in diameter. There is some finish wear on the areas in front of the greyhounds on both sides, but this does not detract from the design. I have a couple different types of these and they wear well on a black satin cord!

Hickok made these fobs in many different designs, but dogs are a clear favorite.
