Presented here is a One-of-a-kind STUNNING Vintage Indian Miniature Painting on Glass. This very delicate interior scene is painted on glass (actually a mirror), and depicts a colorful greatly detailed Indian ceremony scene. A Sultan is smoking hookah while enjoying a live performance of many musicians and a dancer. A very well-performed masterpiece of Rajput school of painting. The gray area in the background, between white carpet and red ceiling, is uncovered mirror. This is the only part that is not covered with paint and is reflective. This item is aged, and shows some age related wear marks specially on the black wooden frame. The miniature painting and the mirror however are both in a Fine condition and without any damages. Please note that there are some dust trapped between the mirror and the glass on top, and the condition could be improved if the frame is opened and the dust is removed. There is a handwritten note attached to the backside, along with some typed information from previous owners. A unique and well-preserved Indian Rajput miniature to display, or to add to a personal collection.
The frame measures 7 1/2' long x 6' wide x 1/2' thick, and weighs 14 oz.
