Circa 1790 - This relatively large chest of drawers has plenty of charm with a warm mahogany color, delicate boxwood inlay, and splayed bracket feet. It is a classic late 18th Century design with two short drawers over three long drawers. This piece would provide instant character to any room. Make this very functional piece of 18th Century history yours today!
Condition: This piece is in very good condition overall. The brass is a later replacement, but in line with the style of the period. The status of the locks is unknown, and unsurprisingly, there is no key. There is a noticeable chip to the front, right corner. (Photo included) There is a roughly 2" portion of cockbeading missing from the side of the bottom drawer. (Photo included) Its location makes it difficult to detect. There are other minor cracks, dents, dings, scratches and scrapes which one would expect to find on a genuine piece of furniture of this age. I'm happy to take additional photos, please ask!
