Circa 1775 - This a superb George III Mahogany gate leg dining table with an ogee arched apron to the frieze, and cabriole legs ending in delightful carved claw and ball feet. It has a wonderful color and patina that the photos just do not do justice. It dates from right around the time of the Revolutionary War. A wonderful conversation piece that would look great in the right spot.
Condition:This honest table is in very good original condition. It has later hinges to the bottom which is not surprising considering its age. There are minor historic knocks, marks, cracks, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is to be expected with antique furniture. I am happy to take additional photos, please ask.
Dimensions: 27"H x 48"L x 16"W (leaves down) each leaf is 18.5" at widest.
