Beautiful contrasting blue and green Shelley Oleander footed teacup and saucer in Harebell pattern with a pastel green ground on the outside of the teacup and the saucer. The lip, foot and handle are painted gold. Harebell pattern consists of blue bell-shaped flowers on a green leaved vine. The flowers are encircling the inside of the cup. The lip of the cup is decorated with swirling shapes of dark blue paint. Very dainty. Very feminine.
The makers mark is a green stamp with Fine Bone China, Shelley, England with the pattern number 13597. This mark was used from 1940 - 1966. However, the Footed Oleander shape of the cup was first produced in 1935 - 1962. There are three different Oleander shapes. Low Oleander, Footed Oleander and Tall Oleander.
Excellent condition. The colors are bright and shiny. The bottom of the foot has some wear from sitting o a shelf.
