If you collect biscuit jars, this would be a desirable piece to add to your collection. The porcelain ground on this fancy blank remains a pristine white. The artist, Colon, has painted beautiful sprays of deep pink roses on stem and leaf on the front, back and lid of this enchanting piece. The fancy rim and foot have been touched in sponged gold as has the edge of the rim. The handles and finial have been done in a more solid gold finish though the handles appear to have been finished with some of the pristine white porcelain showing through for effect.

The blank measures almost 9 inches across the handles and 5 ½ inches tall to the tip of the finial. The blank is marked with the Jean Pouyat underglaze factory mark 5 in green that was used from 1891-1932. It is artist signed, Colon, as photographed and remains in pristine condition with no wear to the painted surfaces and no chips, cracks, spiders or damages of any kind.

Thank you for visiting and please feel free to ask any questions that you may have…
