This is a wonderful piece that has been created using two Victorian pieces combined to create a beautiful brooch...first there is the dangling sterling enameled guilloche "charm", it is a piece that I believe is from a chatelaine that possibly had jump rings attached to the two bottom rings, where specialty items, such as keys, pencil, etc, would be suspended from delicate chains, or may have been part of a Victorian necklace, and had pearls dangling from it?...it is blue enamel with a pink rose design, it is attached with a new sterling spring ring to the ring of the pin portion, the sterling silver pin portion has a spring ring clasp that was probably used to dangle a watch or Chatelaine chain from, it appears to me that the pin stem is an old soldered longer replacement stem that was curled back inward, it has a C clasp, it works fine for closing and opening, and functions as should...
together they become a sweet brooch that is perfectly wearable...the guilloche charm can be removed and another charm or watch can be hung in its place...it is in very good condition, and measures 1 3/4" long, the brooch is 1 3/4" wide, the guilloche piece is 7/8".
