A Book of Hors d'Oeuvre by Lucy G. Allen, 1941 revised edition. This book was originally published in 1925. The recipes are for piquant canapes, unusual savories and tempting spreads and appetizers. It's been revised, enlarged and brought up to date from the original 1925 edition. The book is in excellent condition, tight and clean. There is some chips on the dust jacket and will wrap in mylar if requested. The many recipes are from a time in the past but would be just as appreciated today. There are several black and white illustrations. In addition to the many recipes, the book contains a general discussion of hors d'oeuvres and their preparation and lists of garnishes, flavored butters, and, lists of ingredients.
