The New Orleans Restaurant Cookbook, revised and updated by Deirdre Stanforth. Published by Doubleday, copyright 1976, 256 pages. The book is in good condition, very tight and clean. The dust jacket is chipped in a few places but I've wrapped it in mylar for protection. The price has been scribbled and a inscription is on the page across from the title page (it appears to be pencil) and the book has been priced accordingly. The cook book contains precise directions from the chefs of New Orleans finest dining establishments on the preparation of hundreds of different Creole dishes. Recipes include, Turtle Soup, Gumbo, Crawdish Bisque, Cafe Brulot, Redfish Papillote, Trout Golfe Mexique, Crepes Maison, Red Snapper Pontchartrain, and much more. The recipes are from some of the most famous of all time restaurants in The Crescent City with a history of each with lots of photos.
