A terrific stoneware crock that probably held butter from Welsh Farms in Long Valley, New Jersey. The stoneware jar is in fabulous condition. The cobalt blue lettering is a little schmeared but the crock is in excellent condition without any flaws; not even a flea bite. There are two brown stripes that surround the jar. The lettering is on one side of the crock only. Welsh Farms was in business 1891 through 1991, they are now closed. They were considered one of the best dairys in New Jersey and made home deliveries. The crock stands 5 inches tall and has a 4.5 inch diameter. The writing on the jar stares WELSH FARMS Unexcelled Dairy Products.
