This is a vintaage framed yarn painting of multi colors by the Huichol Indians of Mexico. Yarn paintings consist of commercial yarn pressed into boards coated with wax and resin and are derived from a ceremonial tablet called a neirika. The symbols have religious meanings and are varied in each painting. This painting is in excellent condition. It is framed in a black wooden frame. It measures 9" x 9". It has hardware on back ready for hanging on a wall.
