These are two custard cups in perfect condition that were used to serve at the famous Hendrick Hudson Hotel of New York. The bottoms state "O.P.CO Syracuse China" and the date code is for 1938. This vitrified china is commonly referred to as Hotel China or Restaurant ware. It is heavy and substantial and does not lend itself to crackling, cracking or fading. I used the site Restaurant Ware Collectors Network to identify the pattern on this china. The pattern is a sky blue band that has designs of flowers, curls, aladdin lamps and more.... very pretty. They measure 3 1/8" tall and have a 3 1/8" diameter.
