MORE TALES FROM GRIMM, Wanda Gag, NY:Coward McCann 1947, green boards, 257pages, 3rd impression. Here are 32 fairy tales translated by Gag and illustrated by her with beautiful color frontis plus 5 more full page black & white illustrations & smaller black & white illustrations are throughout the book.. The front covers have some soiling (see photos) as is expected for a book this old and held by so many children's hands. The book was previously owned by a school & has markings (see photo). The inside front board shows where a paste in from the school was removed. The remainder of the book is clean without any writing or odors & light tanning. The book is priced accordingly. This was Gag's final book, published after her death. In the forward, Carl Zigrosser notes that 3/4 of the drawings were in finished form and the "balance were in varying degrees of completeness". The books was brought together by Gag's husband and her sister Flavia. Very scarce. Note I have another book by this author elsewhere in my shop. Note: Among the many tales included in this book is "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" which is the title of the first Harry Potter book.
