This is an authentic and exquisite, vintage Mexican sterling silver pierced earring and brooch (or pendant) set in perfect working condition, 19.5 gram weight. All pieces have a vintage patina. I will clean on request. A classic emblem of the Mixtoc-Zapotec culture. It looks like modernist jewelry. The brooch also has a bail so that it may be worn as a pendant. The back of the pieces are clearly marked 925 which denotes sterling silver. However, the pin also has a silver hallmark but I am unable to make out what it says All 3 pieces are solid silver with turquoise inlay. The shield and arrows are so finely detailed, the craftsmanship is amazing. The brooch measures 1.5 inches x 1.5 inches. The earrings each measure 1 3/4 inches long x 3/4 inches wide. This is a refined and quality set that will only go up in value. It is a replica of the original well-known Yanhuitlan jewel of pre-Hispanic times. Note: The same emblem is found on the shields of some of Montezuma's warriors.
NOTE: Look closely at this set and you will see unique and fine detailing you cannot find on newer sets that try to pass as vintage.
