This is a fantastic find. It is an Ingber evening bag purse in perfect condition & reflects very fine craftsmanship. The outside is lots of gathered black satin (they were famous for their handbags made of fabric & for making purses on request for the cinema). The handle straps are also satin. The hardware is brass with a lovely clasp. The inside has two pouches (almost like twin purses) but closes with just one snap. The inside of one is pink faille and the other side is black faille. The inside tag states "Ingber Made in U.S.A.". The bag is 6" tall, 6" wide and 3" across the bottom. The straps are a 6 1/2" drop to the purse. This bag is so stylish it is hard to believe it is from 1940's-1950's.
