This pair of pedestal compote bowls date to the 1920's and are in as perfect condition as the day they were made. Absolutely no flaws and both are brilliant. I do notice however, that the color seems to be slightly different for one (I bought each separately which would explain). They are 6 inches high, 3 inches deep and have a 5 1/8 inch diameter. It would be perfect for candy and nuts. The swirling stars make for a wonderful cut design. The compotes were made by Imperial Glass in the 1920's and is part of their nutcut crystal line. The top and the bottom have saw-tooth rims. These lovely pieces have a nice weight. Wouldn't it look wonderful filled with Easter Eggs, jelly beans or Christmas ornaments. Would make a wonderful wedding gift.
