"And It Was So", illustrated by Tasha Tudor. The Westminster Press, (1958). First edition. Light green cloth with dark green lettering on front cover; full color pictorial dust wrapper with some light overall wear to wrapper, especially along edges; price-clipped. The inside of the book is bright & clean with no writing, dog ears or other flaws. The paper quality is exceptional. Forty-eight numbered pages with illustrations on each, either black & white or in color. I love the inside end papers as they also contain lovely illustrations by Tasha Tudor. No description or photos can describe these detailed and sweet illustrations. Tasha Tudor's work is in a field by itself. This book answers a child's first questions "Who made us" "Where do we come from", etc. with simple lines of scripture and expressive and thoughtful art. A treasure of a book.
