A beautiful vintage circa 1920-30s silverplated champagne bucket/cooler from the Palm Beach hotel and casino in Cannes, France. Built in 1928, The Palm Beach was Cannes first opulent summer casino and night club. It was a place to see and be seen by European high society, royalty, artists and entertainers such as Maurice Chevalier, Lily Pons and Marlene Dietrich.
In excellent condition, no dents or damage, just some small surface marks and scratches. It has very minor tarnish that will polish up beautifully, some very light staining inside from sitting water but nothing that affects the usability or beauty of this piece. Marked on the base with Wiskemann marks.
Measures 9.25 inches tall by 8.25 inches wide across the top opening, this oversized bucket is big enough for even the largest bottles of champagne!
