A beautiful and rare antique circa early 1900s silverplated Bowl made by Christofle. This bowl is nice, heavy hotel quality and has an intertwined WL monogram on the front, which is the late 1800s to early 1900s era logo for Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits. Wagons-Lits was known for the finest railroad dining & sleeping cars, but most famously for being the creator and operator of the Orient Express luxury passenger train.
In excellent condition, no large dents or damage, just the usual small marks and signs of use you would expect from old railroad silver that was used daily. It has very minor tarnish that will polish up beautifully, very clean inside and out with only minor wear. Marked on the base with Christofle marks.
Measures 2.25 inches tall by 6 inches long from handle to handle.
