Words cannot describe how finely painted this set of 4 vintage Maki E cup and saucers are. They really are museum quality, in my opinion and just lovely. These are from the earlier to mid part of the 20th century. The gold detailing lacquerware technique is thick and has been deftly applied. All items have makers mark. There is some cracking and small chips to the inside bottom of one of the cups and generalized wear. Cups measure 2.25 inches in height x 2 and 1/8 inches in diameter and the saucers measure 4.25 inches in diameter and .75 inches in height. Lily, bamboo, plum blossom and peony are the featured flora of these wares. I consider these cups to be in excellent vintage condition. I have more photos on request. Email with any questions.
