I'm not a wax doll expert and with some searching I thought I came up with a fair price for this tall wax beauty but after some more research and tips from nice doll owners it seems I have my doll overpriced. So I lower her price so you may consider her for your collection. A few people thought that she could be a re wax. I'm not so sure about that as I somewhat know her history. She was originally an English doll and she was brought here from Italy back in the early 70s when mother went to visit her sister in Italy. After she brought her back she kept her hidden away because she was always worried about something happening to her wax. Now almost 50 years later I pull her out. She is in her original dress. I'm gonna say she is from the 1860ish time frame but I'm not positive on that. A wax doll expert would know. She's been stuffed away for so many years that she really doesn't have a lot of damage. She has some cracks in her face that you can see if you look really close in the pictures. Overall she is still in really good condition for her age. As far as re waxing...well, I don't know positively. It just seems like she wasn't around when people were doing that back in the 50s as I've been told.
A beautiful wax over paper mache. She's a nice cabinet size of 20" tall. She is all original from the 1860s to 70s and for her age she is in very very nice condition.
She comes in her original 2 piece suit. It's in the condition it was when it was made. Her suit is in gorgeous condition for its age. She wears her original underclothes too. Somewhere in her life she acquired a few rust stains in her under clothes. There's very little wear to her boots. She's had a little sewing done to her body. She is stuffed with sawdust or something in that order. She's not as plump as she used to be and yet her body is still in remarkable condition for her age. She's a darling girl.
And the price includes shipping. You must pay insurance for her. She will be shipped carefully. I will do a 4 month layaway on her as well.
Thanks for stopping by.
