This outstanding Mennonite doll is a rare one of a kind hand made treasure. It is made of strong metal wire. He has on a velvet jacket with a red ribbon vest, corduroy pants and a faux fur hat with a red ribbon top. The doll itself is made of thick metal wire that is covered with flesh colored ribbon. It has blue eyes that are painted on tiny gauze. The eyes are hardly visible as they are right under the hat. It has real human hair. The face is made of flesh colored fine cotton batten. This is a perfect piece for a discerning antique collector to put on a little antique shelf. It comes from a special Canadian antique collection.
It is in fine condition considering its age and that it is well loved. The cotton on the face has been picked off around the mouth area. This does not detract from such a unique antique piece. It Is 6 inches tall x 4 inches wide.
