Fabulous Mid Century Modern Sputnik table lamp. Pure Mid Century Modern design. An outstanding pink nose cone sits withing six solid black arms. It is also mounted on a central, solid metal rod. This is mounted on a black and pink sphere with sits on a black base.
It appears like a pink rocket ready for the countdown to lift off. The iconic colors and design are classic fifties. It is heavy and durable. The nose cone is made of solid sheet metal. It is rare and stunning! A single socket turns on and off with a perfectly functioning switch on the cone.
The lamp is in excellent condition, with minor little flecks of black paint loss on the sphere and a chip of paint loss on the middle rod. There is a teeny, tiny flake of pink paint loss at the top of the cone. One of the rubber or high quality plastic tips on an arm is missing. None of this detracts and I tried to show it all in the last pictures. It is heavy, weighing approx 6-7 lbs.
