A grand size neoclassical style dresser box used for jewelry or documents with Parquetry designs on the lid and all four sides, possibly Russian in origin. Decorative brass bands run the perimeter of the lid and the base, with four brass feet and handles. The lock and hinges work quite well. The dome lid lifts and has internal stops, the front panels swing open as shown. The interior has just been lined with a celadon silk fabric. Excellent condition.
