This is a rare original colored poster from the second annual Greater Ft. Lauderdale Shipwreck Symposium July 31-August 4 1985.There were 2 symposiums, sponsored by the Marine Archaeological Council, Ft. Lauderdale. The first in 1984 was planned as a forum for Marine Archaeologists, treasure hunters, divers, government officials, historians and ship lovers; but quickly became a spirited debate between Archaeologists and Treasure hunters., with Peter Throckmorton arguing with Mel Fisher and calling him Atilla the Hun. The second symposium in 1985 was more a forum on how Archaeologists and Treasure hunters could work together. The symposium featured diving on the believed shipwreck of the 1835 Brig Gil Blas
