I Will Let The Pictures do The Talking For This Beautiful Object. It is a Exquisite Example of Classic Georgian Elegance. The Centre Claw-Set With Ruby, Emerald, Garnet, Amethyst, Ruby & Diamond. The Frame Fringe is Set With Additional Old Cut Diamonds to Each Border. The Frame is Formed by Repeating Beadwork That Surrounds The Floral Cannetille Work. The Locket Back Has a Later Pin And There is Evidence of Old Solder & Repair. Two of The Fringes Have Some Losses And Or Modifications. Perhaps Originally a Pendant Converted to a Brooch The Quirky Ring Form Loop Is a Later Addition And Tests as 14 Karat Unlike The Brooch Which Testa as 18 Karat. If You Don’t Like Beautiful Objects With Faults This is not For You. That Being Said The Brooch Remains Very Eye Catching And is Completely Secure And Stable Making it Very Wearable.
It Measures 4 cm x 3 cm
It Weighs 19 Grams in Total
I Would Date This Brooch to The 1820’s
