This interesting figurative brass knob features plenty of detail and a gorgeous patina. The brass has worn beautifully and features some minor wear and scratches throughout (see photos), which only adds to its character. It is quite heavy.
We are uncertain of its exact age, but our best estimate is that dates from the late 19th or early 20th century, and is perhaps English in origin.
It has the letters "ST" marked on the neck and also the bottom (see photos).
The bottom has a hole for a square peg, and also four round holes surrounding it.
The knob measures approximately 3.5" wide and 5" deep, and is 4" high without the base. It weighs in around 2 lbs 7 oz.
