Beautiful all original Royal Worcester biscuit barrel with rare solid sterling lid and hardware, all fully hallmarked with English Hallmarks. The porcelain itself is a beautiful Ivory blush decorated with hand-painted foliage including thistles, colored daisies, and other tiny blossoms. The bottom of the jar is marked in standard Royal Worcester Style appropriate for 1889. Marked with the number 112589.
The overall condition of this piece is excellent with no chips or major damage to the sterling. There is a minor speckling of the glaze surface, which is common due to the iron in the porcelain blooming to the surface during firing (this is not a defect and is commonly found- I just want ensure it is noted). The gold work does have some wear, which is expected in a piece of this age. Otherwise no faults to note.
